How to publish in peer-reviewed journals

3-day course "How to publish in peer-reviewed journals"
by TRESS ACADEMIC

This course supports academic authors in preparing and writing a paper for an international peer-reviewed journal. Participants learn all relevant stages in the preparation, writing, submission and peer-review process. The course includes individual and group exercises, where participants can draft the main manuscript sections or improve their own manuscript drafts. They also receive structured feedback from the other participants and the instructor.

This course is only open for doctoral researchers at the University of Würzburg and KIT Campus Alpin (IMK-IFU). In case the COVID-19 situation does not allow for a classroom course, the course will take place online. It will be held in English.

Requirements:
Participants benefit most from this course if they are in the process of developing or writing a research paper to be submitted to an international peer-reviewed journal. Prior to the course, participants will be asked to prepare a short exposé which outlines ideas of this paper in preparation. The exposé can be based on an early-stage literature review of the participant’s research topic or any other available manuscript draft. More details will follow prior to the course. Participants are asked to bring their laptops.
