Our portfolio
Early-career researchers who come to our institute to do a doctorate or take up a postdoc position will discover an international and multi-disciplinary community, an excellent research environment and, last but not least, the laid-back Bavarian town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen with its beautiful mountain scenery. The IFU Graduate Program wants to train the next generation of climate change scientists and, thus, provides its young colleagues with a comprehensive talent management concept. We offer:
- a range of talent management activities in terms of in-house training, both in scientific skills and professional skills
- exchange and discussion possibilities, e.g. at IFU’s monthly PhD seminar
- coaching, e.g. with regard to career development, next career steps, funding and grant application
- onboarding and general support
From time to time we also offer training for senior staff, e.g. supervisor trainings, or organize seminars for little researchers (“Kinder-Uni”).
