Bridging Spheres 2024

"Bridging Spheres" successfully run

From 8-12 April 2024, KIT’s Campus Alpin was hosting the first Bridging Spheres Pop-up Campus, a Helmholtz event on science communication bringing together the spheres of science, media, public and policymaking. With 30 participants from 6 Helmholtz Centers, we spent one day up at the Environmental Research Station Schneefernerhaus on Mount Zugspitze, had inspiring workshops on how to create a personal research statement with Dr. Viola Gerlach (RIFS), authoring a policy brief with Matthias Tang (RIFS) and audio storytelling in science communication with Marie Heidenreich & Dr. Katharina Sielemann (SynCom).

In the evenings we discussed the format "stakeholder dialogue" and we were having a fireside chat on careers in science communication with Florian Diepoldt-Erl (Climate Protection Manager, Garmisch-Partenkirchen), Marie Heidenreich and Laura Schmidt (Public Relations Officer, UFS Schneefelderhaus). We are delighted about this successful event, which was created by Dr. Susanne Gatti (AWI), Dr. Annett Hüttges (GFZ) and Dr. Elija Bleher (KIT-Campus Alpin). Let's keep Bridging Spheres!
